A "sound word" like bang or crack.

"Thrice the brineded cat hath mew'd.
Thrice and once the hedge-pig win'd
Hapier cried: 'Tis time, 'tis time.
Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.
Toad. that under cold stong
Days and nights hast thirty-one
Sweltr'd venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i' the charmed pot.

The witches are using these sound words to symbolize the sounds that a cat and a pig make, using them as "calls" to the other witches to gather.

"I wasted time, and now doth time waste me." W. Shakespeare.
